Farm Vacation

Your Questions - We answered

How can I book bindingly

"If you have chosen our farm and provided your email address, you will first receive an electronic booking confirmation. In the following days, as a first-time booker, you will also receive written documents by mail. You send the signed booking confirmation back to us, preferably scanned as an email attachment, or as Fax. We also accept a photo of the signed confirmation."

We also reguire a deposit of 50€.

For very short-notice bookings and bookings from non-European countries, an electronic confirmation may be sufficient. To save paper and postage, we only send written documents to 'repeat offenders' upon request.

What happens if I have to cancel my booking?

Many guests book with us well in advance. It's understandable that sometimes unforeseen circumstances arise, and you may need to cancel your vacation.

In the event of a cancellation, we retain the €50 deposit as compensation for expenses. If the cancellation is made up to one month before the arrival date, there are no additional costs for you. If you choose to reschedule your trip instead of canceling it entirely and make a replacement booking, we will transfer the deposit to the new reservation.

If you have to cancel your trip within one month before arrival, arrive late, or leave early, we will make immediate efforts to find a replacement booking. However, if we are unable to rent the apartment anymore, we must charge you 80% of the overnight costs. The deposit obviously will be taken into account in this case.

For this reason, we always recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.

What is included in the overnight rate, and are there any additional costs for us?

Our prices Include: All additional costs, bed linen, hand and bath towels, final cleaning, and Wi-Fi.

Our leisure activities, including pony riding, are free of charge. Only the wellness area with a regular sauna, infrared sauna , and whirlpool is billed separately. For a one-week stay (= 7 nights), a wellness afternoon or evening is included. With a stay of one week or more, you are also entitled to a free intermediate cleaning.

So far, no tourist tax has been imposed in Deggenhausertal

When can we arrive? When do we have to depart?

On weekdays, you can arrive from 3:00 PM. If you plan to arrive after 6:00 PM, please let us know in advance.

On the day of departure, please vacate the apartment by 10:00 AM. After that, you can take your time to say goodbye to all the animals.

Specifically on Saturdays with frequent changes, we need the time between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM to prepare all apartments for you.

During the week and when an apartment is not occupied on the same day, you can also arrive earlier, if we have agreed to it. Please note our lunch break from 12-2 PM in this case.

On the contrary, you are welcome to stay in the apartment longer if it is not occupied on the same day. However, this must be coordinated with us.

During the main season from June 15 to September 15, we do not accept arrivals and departures on Sundays. During the pre-season and post-season, arrivals and departures on Sundays are possible. On Sundays, you may stay in the apartment until at least 12 noon, possibly even longer (if the apartment is not booked for the same day). On the other hand, since Sunday is our day of, you may only check in after 5 p.m.

Are Children allowed to ride, and how does it work? What about adults?

Of course, your children can ride on our ponies Gina and Fernando or on the donkey Samy.

As part of our farm tour (usually on the day of arrival at 5 pm), we introduce you to our animals and our rules of conduct. Those interested in riding should contact Farmer Gustel and will then receive detailed instructions. After that, you are allowed to take the ponies out of the stable or from the paddock at any time outside of resting hours, groom them, and go for a ride with them (freely or led by the reins, depending on your skill level). The rider must wear a riding cap or bicycle helmet. We provide them free of charge, but it's better if you bring your own if available.

Twice a week, Farmer Gustel offers a guided horseback ride. We make sure that every guest interested in riding has the opportunity to participate in a ride at least once during their stay.

Children under 3 years old are, from our perspective, not capable riders and not taken on these rides.

For teenagers and adults, our Haflinger mare Dina and Norwegian gelding Max are available.

In the above-mentioned scope, horseback riding is free of charge and included in the overnight rate.

Additionally, we charge a reasonable fee for the horse guide (currently 25€ per hour), if more than the aforementioned services are wished for.

What is available in the apartment?

Upon your arrival, all beds are made. We also provide towels for hands and showers. In the bathroom, you will find soap, shower gel, cosmetic tissues, and toilet paper.

Our kitchens are fully equipped. We provide dish towels, dishwashing liquid for manual washing, and dishwasher detergent.

Food, spices, and consumable materials in the kitchen (coffee filters, baking paper, aluminum foil, etc.) are not provided by us. However, during the season, we do not remove existing spices, salt, sugar, and consumable materials from the apartment. You are responsible for replenishing them as needed.

What else can I get directly on and from the Farm?

In our self-service cabinet, we offer eggs from our chickens, canned sausage from our pigs, jam, and honey from the local area. You can also get mineral water, juices, regional beers and wines, as well as our liqueurs and fruit brandies.

On weekdays, a baker delivers freshly baked goods in the morning, which must be ordered by 6 p.m. the day before.

How do I pay?

You pay the overnight stay rate, minus the deposit made, in cash or with your EC card before your departure. Transfers can only be made before arrival or at the latest two days before departure.

We settle the bill for rolls, eggs, drinks, etc., in cash before departure
